    Free tours offered year-round at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) Visitor Center. Enjoy an informative view of weather, climate, and the broad spectrum of atmospheric research at a world-class laboratory. Learn about our planet’s changing climate and the genesis of severe storms. Can’t make the tour? Explore exhibits on climate change, space weather and atmospheric science, plus interactive displays that teach about lightning, tornadoes, and other weather phenomena. After your visit to the NCAR exhibit area, head outdoors on the Walter Orr Roberts Weather Trail, or take a longer hike on one of the extensive trails in the 40,000+ acre Boulder Open Space area, which adjoins the NCAR property. Enjoy a snack and the view in the NCAR cafeteria (Open weekdays except holidays: Breakfast, 8:00 am - 9:30 am; Lunch, 11:30 - 1:30 pm)
