Step back in time and see Boulder’s history come alive through exhibits using a rich multi-media of hands-on inter-actives, oral histories, photographs and artifacts at the Boulder History Museum.

Also enjoy contemporary art exhibits at the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art featuring local and visiting artists. During the summer months take advantage of the Outdoor Cinema program, and don’t forget to bring along a chair!

Leanin' Tree Museum of Western Art is a free museum exhibiting a magnificent private collection of American Western art - majestic landscapes, wildlife, American cowboys and Native American - original paintings and bronze sculpture since 1950.

The University of Colorado Heritage Center is a museum devoted to presenting and preserving the history of the University. Exhibits include a space room, featuring 16 astronauts who studied at the University, and a moon rock on permanent loan from NASA. The Center boasts other exhibits featuring athletics, architecture and distinguished alumni.

The University of Colorado Natural History Museum allows visitors to see a diverse selection of specimens and artifacts—a must-see for children. Gaze at dinosaur bones and experience a hands-on exhibit of animal tracks. Special exhibits this year are “Decorative Arts of West Africa” and “Himalayan Odyssey,” a photographic exploration of the beautiful Himalayas.
