    Dining Safely in Boulder

    Here's How Restaurants Have Reopened

Boulder's restaurants got the green light to reopen on May 27. They are making radical changes to ensure your safety when you're ready to dine out again.

The City of Boulder is taking extraordinary steps to close streets that would normally be open to cars in order to allow restaurants to expand out into the street for open-air, socially distanced seating.

So far, this expanded, on-street patio dining is available on Pearl Street between 11th and 9th Streets and on The Hill, at Pennsylvania Ave. and 13th Street.

    Safety Measures
    • 50% of capacity or 50 patrons, whichever is fewer
    • Tables will have to be at least six feet apart
    • Only parties of eight or fewer people will be allowed to sit at a table at a time
    • Surfaces will be required to be deep cleaned and disinfected for every turnover
    • Staff will be required to wear face coverings
    • Many restaurants are using technology, such as order by phone from your table, to reduce contact with waitstaff
    • Last call for alcohol is at 11pm.

Some restaurants, like Salt (shown below) are taking guests' temperatures before entry.
