    Overview

Jean-Marie Zeitouni conducts Beethoven’s grand Ninth Symphony, with its iconic finale, “Ode to Joy” featuring nationally acclaimed opera singers, including Grammy-winning mezzo soprano Michelle DeYoung, soprano Mary Wilson, tenor Jason Baldwin, and former University of Colorado football player/Metropolitan Opera singer Keith Miller, bass-baritone. It’s perfectly paired with Mahler’s vocally thrilling Songs of a Wayfarer, as well as the North American Premiere of Betsy Jolas’ A Little Summer Suite.

    Program:

Betsy Jolas: A Little Summer Suite (North American premiere)
Mahler: Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen (Songs of a wayfarer)
Beethoven: Symphony No. 9, Op. 125 in D minor
