What is ALT + ink? Simply put, an intermingling of 21st century photographic technology with 19th century photgraphic chemistry. In this workshop, we will utilize digital negatives and cyanotype chemisty--one of the first permanent photgraphic technologies discoverd by Sir John Hirschel in 1835--to transform an inkjet print of one of your digital images into a handcrafted one of a kind photographic print.
All you will need are a few digital images. You will learn how to coat and process cyanotype chemistry, get an overview of the ALT+ink process, and come away iwth at least one Alt=ink combo print as well as a straight cyanotype print. If you have a laptop with Photoshop, bring it!
