An epic bike race that will cover 550 miles and 52,500 feet of climbing, the Mavic Haute Route Rockies is coming to Boulder on June 24, 2017. This challenging race will travel through jaw-dropping Boulder and Colorado scenery and features some breathtaking climbs.
The prestigious Haute Route races have been held in Europe's Alps, Pyrenees and Dolomites to great acclaim, and now the race — designed to give amateur riders the opportunity to compete at professional levels — will come to the American Rockies by way of Boulder for the first time in 2017.
The event starts in Boulder on June 24th, 2017 and finishes in Colorado Springs on June 30. Competitors face seven timed and ranked stages, climbing on some of Colorado’s best-known mountain roads, many topping 10,000 feet in altitude.
Stage 1: Boulder – Boulder
Stage 2: Boulder – Winter Park
Stage 3: Winter Park – Avon
Stage 4: Avon – Avon (Individual Time Trial)
Stage 5: Avon – Snowmass Village
Stage 6: Snowmass Village – Crested Butte
Stage 7: TBC – Colorado Springs
Registration will be limited to 600 riders, with high demand for placement, so early registration is encouraged. You can register online. Detailed route information will be available on the Mavic Rockies Haute Route website, as well.
