Boulder’s different; it’s a place you have to experience for yourself. The people, events, and innovations that shaped this place — whether scientific, cultural, entrepreneurial, culinary or athletic — simply cannot be found anywhere else. Boulder has long deserved an innovative space that can explore, explain and celebrate those unique innovations. Thanks to years of careful planning and community engagement, the Museum of Boulder is ready to tell those compelling stories. Here are 5 things you won’t want to miss:
The Museum is thrilled to use its new space to host widely recognized exhibitions from respected institutions, including the Smithsonian and many more. For it’s opening, the Museum of Boulder is hosting Da Vinci Machines, created by the acclaimed Artisans of Florence, and Sportsology, where kids of all ages can test their agility, speed and strength.
The much-anticipated Google Garage lets visitors defy the boundaries of their own imagination. Families, friends and even strangers can come together to tinker and experiment with technology tools and do-it-yourself projects in a space that invites innovation and creation.
A place for kids of all ages, families will want to come back for the Museum’s kid-friendly exhibits, family-friendly workshops and educational classes crafted specifically with kids in mind. In early 2019, the Museum will open a Children's Discovery Museum, an area full of interactive experiences where young learners gain new perspectives, engage their senses and spark their imaginations.
Enjoy a break from the streets of downtown Boulder on the Museum's rooftop, which offers some of the best views of the Flatirons in town.
The Boulder Experience, a comprehensive exhibit exploring Boulder’s past and present, will open November 17, 2018. It will be a space for visitors to engage with the breadth of innovation that was developed in Boulder and its impact on the world.
