Make Goat Milk Soap and Snuggle Baby Goats at Working Goat Dairy

    Overview

Operated By: Mountain Flower Goat Dairy

We love to teach people where their food comes from, and what their food can make! Animals are therapeutic and a goat snuggle is magical often causing excessive laughter. And, laughter is great medicine – that equals good clean fun!

Join Herbalist and Farm Hand Tzuria Malpica as she guides you through the process of making goat milk soap from scratch! You will learn the science behind soap making and experience the process from start to finish. This class will also include a farm tour of the dairy so everyone will have a chance to meet and snuggle the goats whose milk we will use! This is a fun behind the scenes look into the work of small scale agriculture to better help you understand the role goats play.

Each participant will get to take home their very own bar of soap. Participants are welcome to bring fun essential oils or dried flowers to personalize their soap.

Homemade goat cheese and other small snacks will be provided along with a warm cup of tea blended from the same herbal tonic we use to nourish the mamma goats – delicious!

Class is recommended for adults; Mature teens welcome. Special Family Classes indicated below.

Located in the heart of Boulder, Mountain Flower Goat Dairy is easily accessible from Denver, Longmont and Front Range! Your ticket purchase is more than soap. more than goats. more than a selfie opportunity. It is helping Mountain Flower Goat Dairy live its mission. Connecting residents back to the land, back to their food and back to nature by providing access to sustainable agriculture, farm education and humane dairy production is at the heart of their mission.
