About the Park

Foothills Community Park is an 65.2 acre park located in North Boulder featuring a wide range of facilities and recreational amenities unique playgrounds, inline hockey and pickleball rink, and fields for programmed sports.

Restrooms are open year-round with limited hours in fall and winter. Sledding on the grassy areas is approved. There is easy access OSMP trails. The park includes a popular dog park and home to Community Gardens/Growing Gardens.

Picnic Shelter Rentals

Foothills Community Park has three shelters: A, B and C. Shelter A is south of Shelter B. Shelter C is adjacent to the playground. The smaller shelter near the top of the rock slide is not available for reservation. It is considered community use for the playground area.

There is also another playground and small covered area to the south of the Growing Gardens.

Groups with 51 to 100 people are required reserve shelters A and B. Groups between 101 and 250 people must reserve all three shelters.

Lines for 2 pickleball courts are painted on one half of the big rink at Foothills Community Park.

Pickleball is here!

We heard your feedback and added pickleball courts to the large rink for four pickleball courts. Please bring your own portable pickleball nets. Nets are not available onsite.

The courts are available for reservation and use from 7 a.m. to noon, seven days a week. The rink is available for general public use and all sports from noon to close.

Nature Play Opportunities

Foothills Community Park provides a variety of opportunities for children to interact with nature and features that simulate nature including:

  • Art structures throughout the playground
  • Polar sundial
  • Rock wall
  • Artistic designs in the sidewalk

Three sets of bicycle racks are available at Foothills Community Park. One is adjacent to the parking, and one is adjacent to each of the large gazebos.
