The glory of Rocky Mountain National Park's mountain trails, abundant wildlife and natural wonders that make it a bucket-list destination are now even more accessible from Boulder.
Beginning July 3, 2021, you can ride the Bustang bus from Boulder's Table Mesa Park-N-Ride to the Estes Park Visitor Center. From there, transfer to a shuttle that takes you to the Bear Lake Park and Ride in Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP). You must purchase a RMNP pass to ride the shuttle into the national park.
You must purchase a ticket from the Colorado Department of Transportation to reserve a seat on Bustang. The price from Boulder is $5 each way.
If you plan to continue on from the Estes Park Visitor Center to Rocky Mountain National Park via the Bear Lake Road shuttle, a valid RMNP pass is required. Bustang passengers do not need to purchase a Timed Entry Permit to enter RMNP.
