Passionate Chefs, Locals Who Love To Eat and Special Events

Bon Appetit calls Boulder America's Foodiest Town. Food and Wine named Pearl Street a Top 10 Street for Foodies. Boulder is home to the recipient of the James Beard Foundation Award for Best Chef: Southwest, the "Top Chef" Season 5 winner, a "Cutthroat Kitchen" champion, master sommeliers, cooking schools, the country's best farmers' market and most importantly, people who love to eat. There is a very high concentration of nationally recognized chefs, sommeliers, innovative restaurants and wine programs in this college town of just 100,000.

Boulder Farmers' Market

The Boulder Farmers' Market is a hub for the town's strong dining scene. The state's largest farmers' market was recently named the best in the country by readers of USA Today. The market takes place outside and there is an area where local chefs are cooking and serving. Grab a plate, sit on the grass next to the creek, and catch a glimpse of the Boulder lifestyle, accompanied by live music and paired with beer and wine. Get there early Saturday mornings to hear the farmers talk with the town's best chefs for menu ideas and preparation tips. It's located downtown on 13th Street between Canyon and Arapahoe. The market is open Wednesdays 4pm–8pm, May–October and Saturdays 8 am–2pm, April through November. http://www.boulderfarmers.org/
