My Perfect Day in Boulder
- A perfect Boulder day starts with a run along the trails near NCAR and Chautauqua Park.
- After a high-altitude heart pump, I like to head over to Dry Storage or Skratch Lab Cafe for some of the best coffee in town — and there is some GREAT coffee in town! — and some fun, hearty food options including the onigiri and Skratch bowl.
- If I’m trying to win over my wife, I stop by Süti to pick up a variety of shortbread cookies. Lunch at the Organic Sandwich is a great way to fuel up for an afternoon roaming the Pearl Street Mall, picking up some new kitchen gadgets at Peppercorn, taking my kids to Into the Wind for some toys, or checking out some gear at Teton Gravity.
- If that doesn’t have me worn out, it’s happy hour Wild Provisions, which is one of favorite beer spots in all of Colorado because of their wide variety of hops and sours.
- When is comes to dinner, if it’s more casual, I love the pizza at New Yorkese and hand rolls at Peko Peko inside of Avanti. If fine dining is on the agenda, my go-tos would be Cozobi Fonda Fina, Oak at Fourteenth or my old stomping grounds at Jax Fish House & Oyster Bar.
