Group Dining at MICHELIN Restaurants

For a group you really want to impress, consider that food very likely is the way to their hearts. Boulder chefs know how to make palate-dazzling dishes in chic and stylish settings for groups. And at the town's MICHELIN-recommended restaurants, the cuisine is sure to be next-level.

Below we've assembled the details on how to take advantage of Boulder's award-winning eateries for a group dining experience they won't forget.

Blackbelly Market

Blackbelly Market is Top Chef champion Hosea Rosenberg's acclaimed eatery, which earned a MICHELIN Guide recommendation and a green star for sustainable gastronomy. Head butcher Kelly Kawachi was also recognized with the MICHELIN Guide's Culinary Professional Award. The fine-meats-focused menu is beloved for its delicious, locally sourced ingredients that shine under Rosenberg's direction in a setting that's casually chic.

Frasca Food and Wine

Frasca Food and Wine may be called “The French Laundry of Colorado” (a reference to the famous Napa Valley restaurant where business partners — and Master Sommelier — Bobby Stuckey and Lachlan Mackinnon-Patterson, met) but we think the restaurant is in a class all its own. Featuring the food of northern Italy and an impressive wine program — and with a MICHELIN star, a MICHELIN Outstanding Service recognition and three James Beard awards (including the coveted Outstanding Service Award) under its belt — even the finest palates will be pleased here.

Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse

The teahouse isn't just a top attraction in Boulder, it's also a MICHELIN Guide-recommended restaurant. As they dine on international bites and sip a selection of teas, your group will admire the spectacular Persian artwork decorating every inch of this special building, which was gifted to Boulder by our sister city Dushanbe, Tajikistan.

OAK at Fourteenth

The intimate, sleek and woodsy feel of OAK is true to its name — a warm and welcoming spot just off Pearl Street. Diners get glimpses into the open kitchen where Oak’s culinary artists work their magic, and a chic bar turns out perfectly balanced cocktails nonstop. Chef Steven Redzikowski is a James Beard nominee and the restaurant was recently added to the MICHELIN Guide.

Stella's Cucina

The interior of Stella's glints and gleams with all the markings of a fine dining experience — one that it truly delivers on with its refined Italian cuisine. It's an approach that earned it a recommendation in the MICHELIN Guide, which wrote, "Chef Filippo Piccini impresses with a focused menu of pan-regional Italian dishes."

Bramble and Hare

Bramble and Hare is the downtown restaurant of Black Cat Farm, and each week’s menu focuses on meat and produce at its peak flavor and freshness directly from the farm. Chef Eric Skokan’s goal of growing and raising most of the food he serves landed Bramble a MICHELIN green star for their commitment to sustainable gastronomy along with a MICHELIN Guide recommendation. The food is enough reason to dine here, and the super cozy, French salon-like atmosphere only makes it more enjoyable.

Basta

Tucked away in the courtyard of an apartment complex, small-but-mighty Basta has been one of Boulder's best-kept secrets for years. The MICHELIN Guide took note in 2023 and granted Basta a Bib Gourmand distinction, presented to restaurants that provide a meal of good quality at a good value. Basta is run by star restauranteur Kelly Whitaker. While private spaces are not available in this intimate space, the restaurant does handle buyouts.

Santo

In the second restaurant by Top Chef Hosea Rosenberg, he brings home cooking from his state of New Mexico to plates — think green chile, tortas and mole. A warm and vibrant space disguised as a neighborhood haunt, Santo will have your group at ease. Start with fresh house-made margaritas at the center bar where the bartenders will most certainly remember your guests' drink orders. Santo was added to the MICHELIN Guide in 2023, with the inspectors commending its "satisfying, rustic cooking with Mexican roots." While private group dining is not available, buyouts are.
