    National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) Trails

    The National Center for Atmospheric Research adjoins the City of Boulder Open Space land and there is trailhead access to many Open Space Trails from the NCAR parking lot.

    Trails include: NCAR (0.6 mi; 180 ft.), Mesa Trail (6.9 mi; 410ft.), Skunk Canyon (1.3 mi; 550 ft.), Mallory Cave (0.5 mi; 740 ft.), Bear Canyon (1.7 mi; 940 ft.), Bear Peak West Ridge (1.6 mi; 1,261 ft.), Green Bear (0.9 mi; 944 ft.), and Fern Canyon (1.2 mi; 2,121 ft.).  Amenities of NCAR Trails include: restrooms located in the NCAR building, dogs are allowed but must be on a hand-held leash or under voice and sight control standard and display a City of Boulder Voice and Sight tag on most OSMP trails in this area. Horses are allowed on all OSMP trails.
