A state of the art, touch screen information kiosk has been installed on the 1100 block of the Pearl Street Mall. The new kiosk is an innovative way to provide information to residents and visitors alike. The kiosk includes a 45" touch screen with portals to three websites: the City of Boulder, Downtown Boulder Business Improvement District, and the Boulder Convention and Visitors Bureau. Users are now able to use the touch screen to find hotels, restaurants, and events. In addition, the kiosk includes a static directional map and a brochure rack.  The kiosk is about 8' tall and 3 ½' wide and includes a canopy.

The interactive kiosk is a joint project with the City of Boulder, the Downtown Business Improvement District (BID), and the Boulder Convention and Visitors Bureau. City Capital Improvement Bond dollars paid for the purchase of the kiosk, while the Convention and Visitors Bureau funded the touch screen technology. Downtown Boulder contributed time and input to the planning phase of both the structure itself as well as the interactive features. They also produced the static map on the south side of the structure and will keep the brochure rack stocked.

"We are fortunate to have the opportunity to provide this great new resource to our community and visitors. The partnership between the three organizations enables us to remain progressive and incorporate new technology into our beautiful city," said Mary Ann Mahoney, Executive Director of the Boulder Convention and Visitors Bureau.
