BOULDER, Colo., February 12th, 2026 - Following yesterday’s announcement that the MICHELIN Guide will expand statewide in Colorado, Visit Boulder is highlighting the chefs, restaurateurs, and hospitality professionals whose creativity and commitment continue to define the city’s dining scene.
Colorado was among the earliest states to participate in the MICHELIN Guide program, and Boulder’s culinary community has contributed to that evolution through the depth and diversity of its restaurants.
“Boulder’s restaurant community is shaped by passionate chefs, dedicated hospitality teams, and independent operators who care deeply about both their craft and their city,” said Charlene Hoffman, CEO of Visit Boulder. “Our investment in the MICHELIN Guide reflects the strength of our culinary community and the excellence coming out of kitchens across Boulder. We’re proud to actively support this program and to continue to include Boulder in this broader statewide moment.”
Local restaurant leaders say participation in the program has had a meaningful impact on their teams and businesses.
“Receiving Michelin recognition has been an extraordinary milestone for The Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse, elevating our journey in ways we could not have imagined,” said Sara Martinelli of Three Leaf Concepts. “Being acknowledged by Michelin validated our commitment to exceptional dining experiences and premium tea offerings, while inspiring renewed pride and motivation within our team. It has been a catalyst for growth and innovation, and we remain committed to upholding the standards that define our culinary and tea legacy.”
Research continues to underscore the influence of the MICHELIN Guide on travel decisions. Studies have found that many travelers consider its presence when choosing a destination, and a significant share are willing to extend stays or spend more to enjoy standout dining experiences.
As Boulder looks ahead to a full calendar of cultural, culinary, and community events, the city’s restaurant scene remains central to its identity, welcoming diners who seek both exceptional food and a strong sense of place.
