IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Due to COVID-19 our Event Marketing Grant program is currently on hold and the next window for applications has been postponed until further notice.
Are you the producer or organizer of a Boulder event, or are you planning a new Boulder event? You may wish to explore the Boulder Convention and Visitors Bureau’s Event Marketing Grant Program to support the marketing efforts for your Boulder event.
Through the Event Grant Program (EGP), the Boulder Convention and Visitors Bureau (BCVB) seeks to invest in the development and expansion of events that identify with the Boulder brand for both residents and visitors with the specific goals of increasing tourism and revenue.
This grant program provides financial and staff support to enhance the marketing efforts of events. It does not fund event operating expenses or capital projects.
Events are evaluated using a number of criteria, including:
The event is produced annually with strong growth opportunity that offers the long-term potential of being produced for several years at least; and, the event may position Boulder to attract similar events.
The event strengthens Boulder’s marketing position as a destination for educational, athletic, environmental, and arts and cultural events and experiences.
The event has the high potential of minimizing the city’s financial risk by offering a positive return on the BCVB’s investment.
New EGP applications are accepted and reviewed semi-annually. Determination of the award will be made within 90 days of the application deadline.

The Event Grant Program (EGP) and the CVB's Mission
The mission of the Boulder Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) is to provide leadership promoting Boulder’s natural environment, arts, culture, innovation and the visitor experience to support economic vitality and our quality of life. The BCVB Event Grant Program (EGP) has been designed and implemented to support the Boulder Sustainable Tourism Plan, which identifies economic, experiential, quality of life and infrastructure goals for the community. The EGP helps achieve these goals by investing in the development of new events, as well as the expansion of existing events, that identify with the Boulder brand for both residents and visitors with the specific goal of increasing tourism and revenue in mind.
