Are you the producer or organizer of a Boulder event, or are you planning a new Boulder event? You may wish to explore the Boulder Convention and Visitors Bureau’s Event Grant Program.
Through the Event Grant Program (EGP), the Boulder Convention and Visitors Bureau (BCVB) seeks to invest in the development and expansion of events that identify with the Boulder brand for both residents and visitors with the specific goals of increasing tourism and revenue. Events are evaluated using a number of criteria, including:
The event is produced annually with strong growth opportunity that offers the long-term potential of being produced for several years at least; and, the event may position Boulder to attract similar events.
The event strengthens Boulder’s marketing position as a destination for educational, athletic, environmental, and arts and cultural events and experiences.
The event has the high potential of minimizing the city’s financial risk by offering a positive return on the BCVB’s investment.
New EGP applications are accepted and reviewed quarterly. Determination of the award will be made within 90 days of the application deadline.
NOTE: You may first wish to review the BCVB's complete EGP guidelines and evaluation process here before applying.
