    Boulder Open Studios Tour 2019

    October 5-6, 12-13 and 19-20, 2019

If the leaves have started to fall and there's a crispness to the air, it must mean it's time for a cherished Boulder tradition: the Open Studios Tour

During three weekends in October, over 100 artists do something extraordinary: they invite the public into their private studios, which are located throughout the city of Boulder and in the canyons just beyond. Open Studios' yellow signs bloom in yards all over town, signaling the locations of studios.

From homes studios to funky warehouse spaces and everything in between, this is a chance to see the artist's life on view and check out some of Boulder's most interesting neighborhoods.

    What You'll See

Watch an oil painting appear on canvas before your eyes, hear the story behind a sculpture, learn about a technique you've never heard of before, see how artists organize their space — it's all a fascinating look behind the scenes. Collectors and casual shoppers alike will have a chance to buy art directly from the artists, from pottery and ceramics to furniture and photography. The tour will get you out exploring some of Boulder’s coolest local neighborhoods, too.
