    Carnegie Library For Local History

1125 Pine Street, Open Mon – Fri 1-5; Wednesday mornings also by appointment 10-1, and Sat. 10 a.m.-3 p.m.; closed Sunday. Part of the Boulder Public Library and located in Boulder’s original library building, the Carnegie Library contains comprehensive Boulder county historic materials—including books, diaries, 200,000 historic photographs, digitized oral history interviews, the collection of the Boulder Genealogical Society and the entire clipping files of the Boulder Daily Camera newspaper. Search for an early Boulder area ancestor, or the history of your house, or perhaps learn more about a local hotel, Chautauqua or the Pearl Street Mall. A small historic display case focusing on Boulder history changes monthly.
