    Rocky Mountain National Park’s 415 square miles encompass and protect spectacular mountain environments. The park is a bucket-list destination for many, with crystalline alpine lakes, jagged mountain peaks, rolling valleys and abundant wildlife. Enjoy Trail Ridge Road — which crests over 12,000 feet including many overlooks to experience the subalpine and alpine worlds — along with over 300 miles of hiking trails, wildflowers, wildlife, starry nights, and fun times.

    Tips for entering the park: 

    • RMNP reservations required 5am-6pm for Bear Lake 

      • You can enter without a reservation if you arrive before 5am 

    • RMNP reservations, excluding Bear lake, required 9am–3pm 

      • Trail Ridge Road access 

      • Hiking in Lumpy Ridge 

      • It’s okay to enter here before 9 or after 3 with no reservation 

    • 25% reservation slots held until 5pm the day prior so visitors can have a shot at booking for the following day 

      • Set up an account with ahead of time to be ready for the 5pm release
