    Starting July 3, 2020, a new shuttle service will take hikers from Boulder to Eldorado Canyon State Park ("Eldo" to locals). Pick up the shuttle from the University of Colorado Regent Lot (Broadway and Regent) or three other stops along Broadway in South Boulder and ride in comfort to the state park.

    The shuttle service will run weekends through Labor Day.

    Parking is extremely limited inside Eldorado Canyon State Park, and there is no public parking nearby outside of the park. When parking inside the state park is full, you will be not be allowed in. Illegal parking could result in fines and/or towed vehicles.

    How the Shuttle Works
    • Free
    • Every 20 minutes
    • Saturdays and Sundays, 8am–7pm (plus July 3 and Sept. 7)
    • Gear is welcome aboard:
      • Two bicycles per shuttle
      • Climbing gear, crash pads 
      • Leashed, well-behaved dogs
      • Strollers
    • Approximately 25-minute ride

    Eldorado Canyon State Park Entrance Fee
    • An individual daily pass or an annual Colorado State Parks pass is required* for all passengers 16 and older to ride the shuttle into Eldorado Canyon State Park. Individual daily passes must be purchased online prior to boarding. *Special Introductory Period: For a limited time, until Colorado Parks and Wildlife’s individual daily passes are available for purchase online, Boulder County is covering the state park entrance fee for shuttle passengers.     • National Parks Passes (America the Beautiful) are not valid for entry into Colorado State Parks.
    • There is no state park entrance fee for children 15 and under.
    • There is no fee to ride the shuttle to the Marshall Mesa trailhead.

    COVID-19 Safety Steps

    To reduce the spread of COVID-19, these policies have been implemented for 2020:

    • If you have recently experienced any symptoms of COVID-19, including fever, cough or sore throat, please do not ride the shuttle.
    • All passengers ages 12 and older are required to wear a mask or face covering. Please bring your own mask.
    • To promote social distancing, shuttle capacity is limited to approximately 10 passengers or three households, whichever is less.
    • On the shuttle, please sit in the sections labeled and leave at least one row of seats between groups.
    Additional Tips
    • Don't Chance It, Ride the Shuttle Parking is extremely limited inside Eldo, and there is no parking available outside the park. When parking is full, you won’t be allowed in. Don’t chance it. Park at one of the lots and ride the shuttle instead.   
    • Stops at Marshall Mesa There is no fee to ride the shuttle to Marshall Mesa Trailhead.
    • Free Park Entry for Now! During a special introductory period, until Colorado Parks and Wildlife’s individual daily passes are available for purchase online, Boulder County is covering the state park entrance fee for shuttle passengers.
